Under the Sea Exhibition

I am so thrilled to join the talented artists selected for the Under The Sea Exhibition from Moku Art Studio.

This show, the brainchild of Frieda Verlage, was juried by an international group of ocean scientists, artists, and explorers many of whom I’ve been following and admiring for years, including Lea Kannar-Lichtenberger, Dr. Sarah McAnulty, Dr Alan Jamieson, Dr Thomas Linley, Jason deCaires Taylor, and Dr Helen Scales. If you are not familiar with their work, do yourself a favor and explore these links to learn about it. They are all doing incredible work around interdisciplinary approaches to ocean science, art, exploration, and communication

I’m so honored to be selected by this group for the exhibit, which includes my pieces: the Steller Sea Lion, the Hawksbill Turtle, the Antarctic Skua, Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle, and the Atlantic Herring.

The show is endorsed by the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and will be shared with the Ocean Decade Network.

Visit the show at https://www.mokuartstudio.com/under-the-sea. The show is curated as a map showing the artists’ locations around the globe— click on the links to see their work.

My piece, The Steller Sea Lion, was selected as “A Call to Action that Inspires” by the jury and my piece the Atlantic Herring was selected by juror Dr. Sarah McAnulty as her favorite.

I’m really honored to be a part of this project.
